Santiago Perez graduated with an Electronics Engineer degree from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional – Facultad Regional Mendoza (Mendoza, Argentina), and a Master's Degree in Data Networks from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata – Facultad de Informatica (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Then, a PhD in Engineering, in Teleinformatics and Telecommunications, from the Universidad de Mendoza (Mendoza, Argentina).
Currently, he is the Director of GRID ATyS (Research and Development Group on Analysis of Traffic and Security in Data Networks, member of CeReCoN (Regional Center for Research and Development in Computing and Neuroengineering), and member of GIDECo (Regional Research Group and Development in Knowledge Ecosystems) of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional(UTN). He is Director of the Master's and Specialization in Data Networks, in the distance modality, and member of the Academic Committee of the Doctorate in Engineering, mention in Computing, in all Cases, from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, Facultad Regional Mendoza. He is also a postgraduate teacher in the Master of Science in Virtual Education with Concentration in School Digital Transformation,y en el Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering de la Broward International University de Miami.
He is a category A teacher-researcher at the UTN and II at the Ministry of Education of Argentina. His main lines of research are Data Networks, Traffic Analysis and Modeling using SPNs-HSANs.
He has participated in conferences and published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has publications of technical books.
As an undergraduate and postgraduate university professor, he has specialized in Distance Education (EaD), using planning techniques with instructional design, and the development of mediated content. Her usual work platforms are Moodle and BlackBoard.
